Obituary For Mr. Bennie Floyd Lamar Jr.

Mr. Bennie Floyd Lamar, Jr. was born September 13,1952 to the late Mrs. Katherine Russell Kendall and the late Mr. Bennie Floyd Lamar, Sr. in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. Bennie attended public school in the Upson County School System. When he reached manhood, he became a bus driver for the Upson County School System. He was the loving father of seven children.

During his leisure time, Bennie enjoyed riding and site-seeing, visiting his family and friends, visiting his favorite restaurant, McDonalds, and watching television, especially wrestling.

Bennie was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Angela Michelle Lamar. On Monday, February 7, 2022, the Lord called Bennie’s name. He answered the call and went home to his eternal resting place.

Bennie leaves to cherish his memory, six children, Ms. Carla Lamar of New Castle, DE, Ms. Katrina Lamar of Thomaston, GA, Mrs. Tina Lawson of Stone Mountain, GA, Mr. Billy Lamar of Decatur, GA, and Mr. Bobby Lamar and Ms. Breanna Lamar both of Thomaston, GA; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Patricia Reeves of Thomaston, GA; a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. Graveside Services were held Friday, February 11, 2022 1:00 P.M. Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery
