Obituary For Mr. Calvin Lamar Traylor

Mr. Calvin Lamar Traylor was born on May 18, 1974, to Mrs. Marie Traylor and the late Mr. Jimmy Louis Holt in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia.

He attended public schools in Upson County. In 1991, he entered Job Corps and later earned his GED. He pursued nursing and earned his license as a Certified Nursing Assistant from Cumberland Medical Institute. Throughout his career, he was employed at Delmar Gardens Assisted Living in Marietta, Georgia; Provident Village at Creekside in Smyrna, Georgia; Woodland Ridge Assisted Living; the Ridgeview Institute in Smyrna, Georgia; and lastly at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation.

Calvin had a strong work ethic and a caring heart. During his leisure time, he enjoyed working, caring for his patients, and spending time with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Jimmy Louis Holt. On Thursday, January 1, 2026, the Lord called his name. He answered the call, and his spirit took flight and returned home.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Mrs. Marie Traylor of Thomaston, GA; his sisters and brothers, Ms. Belinda Traylor, Mr. Jo Traylor, Mr. Dominique Traylor, Mr. O’Neil Stubbs, Mr. Willie Green, Mrs. Lisa (Dennis) Philpot, Ms. Deborah Holt, Ms. Cynthia Holt, Ms. Adrian Holt, Mrs. Amy (Corey) Mann, Ms. Cheryl Holt and Mr. Jimmy Lee Holt, Jr.; one aunt, Ms. Lula Green; one uncle, Mr. Robert Green, both of Thomaston, GA; six nieces, three nephews, six great-nieces, seven great-nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
