Obituary For Mr. Calvin Sheroy Price

Mr. Calvin Sheroy Price was born on July 16, 1955, in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia, to the late Mrs. Myrtice Price Lyons and the late Mr. R. J. Traylor. He was raised in Lamar County, where he attended the public schools and graduated from Lamar County High School. At an early age, Calvin joined Mount Zion Baptist Church in Yatesville, Georgia. After moving to Meriwether County, he joined Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Calvin was a dedicated and hardworking man who often worked several jobs at one time. He was employed by the Lamar County School System as a custodian and also served in the McDonough public schools. In addition, he worked for many years at Carter’s Mill. Calvin was the proud father of three children and the loving grandfather of seven grandchildren.

During his leisure time, Calvin enjoyed being outdoors. He loved cutting grass, tinkering with cars, and keeping his hands busy with whatever project he could find. He was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and taking care of the things around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mr. Gary Price.

On August 14, 2026, Calvin peacefully departed this earthly life, and his spirit returned to the Heavenly Father. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Wykeiveous Price, Calvin Price, and Alika (Terrance) Kendall, all of Thomaston, GA; seven grandchildren, Serenity Price, Wykeiveous Price, Jr., Calvin Price, Jr., Katelynn Pope, Niterrian Walker, Ayden Kendall, and Grayson Kendall; one sister, Angelia Jones of Barnesville, GA; two aunts, Ms. Rachel Price and Ms. Mildred Price, both of Cleveland, OH; one uncle, Mr. David Price of Atlanta, GA; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory.
