Mr. Carlos Alonzo Andrews was born on June 13, 1969, in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia, to the late Mrs. Eunice “Stein” Harris Andrews and the late Mr. Jack Andrews, Jr.
At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Yatesville, Georgia.
Carlos received his formal education in the Upson County School System and graduated with the Upson High School Class of 1987. Shortly after graduation, he entered the United States Army on June 10, 1987. He faithfully served six years and received an Honorable Discharge on June 18, 1993. He later joined the Department of Army National Guard and continued his service for over seventeen years.
In 2006, Carlos enrolled at Flint River Technical College, where he earned a diploma in Criminal Justice Technology. He was employed for many years as a security guard with McIntosh Trail Behavioral Health.
Carlos was a member of the Strike-Rite Men’s Club and was also a Mason. He was a devoted Alabama fan who loved the game of football. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and taking pride in doing yard work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four uncles and one aunt: Curtis Harris, Totice Atwater (Totsy), DeArthur Harris, Jr., Charlie Andrews, and Jean Daniels.
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Carlos peacefully departed this earthly life to receive his heavenly reward.
He leaves to cherish his memory three children: Ms. Juaniesha Warthen of Sandersville, GA, Mr. Carlos M. Andrews of Fort Valley, GA, and Mr. Alonzo King of Thomaston, GA; two siblings, Mr. Michael D. (Jeneen) Andrews of Hampton, GA, and Mrs. Jacqueline Andrews Howard (Jerel) of Griffin, GA; a devoted friend, Ms. Sheri Richmond of Yatesville, GA; four aunts, Mrs. Ella Mae Carter and Ms. Cathigene Harris, both of Thomaston, GA, and Mrs. Susan (Edward) Carter and Mrs. Ella Brown, both of Yatesville, GA; three uncles, Rev. Tony (Minister Lesia) Atwater of Culloden, GA, Mr. Lonnie Atwater of Thomaston, GA, and Mr. Jimmy (Brenda) Andrews of Riverdale, GA; one niece, Yonisha (Attallah) Elmadany of Fairburn GA, one nephew, Deonte Carter of Griffin, GA; a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory.
