Obituary For Mr. Curtis Bentley

His Arrival Mr. Curtis Bentley more affectionately known as Psycho, was born in Sylvester Worth County, Georgia., on February 5, 1954. He was born unto the parentage of the late Mr. Lloyd and Rosene Bentley. He received his education in the Worth County School System

His Commitment to His Family Curtis, at an early age, spent many years learning to work on a dairy farm in Scooterville, Georgia. He relocated to Barnesville, Georgia and worked for the City of Barnesville in the Sanitation Department. He provided for his family and would give you his all; he was a loyal and dedicated worker until his health began to decline.

His Commitment to Christ Curtis confessed to Christ and joined the Midway C.M.E. Church in Barnesville, Georgia. He continued his walk with Christ and joined the St. Timothy Church. He spent his final years as a loyal and dedicated member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He loved to sing in the choir and praise, and worship. He always loved to motivate his family and talk about the goodness of Christ; he loved to encourage his family through sharing the word of God. His Commitment to Marriage Curtis met the love of his life, Flora Jean Holmes, in Barnesville, Georgia. The two became one on February 5, 2010, in Barnesville, Lamar County. The two were inseparable and shared the love they had for one another with their family. They worshipped and gave the best they had to their Lord & Savior. They loved to decorate their yards and plant flowers. He loved to share stories about his time in Sylvester and tome spent on the farm. He loved to hunt rabbits and would tell you the best way to prepare it. That infectious smile and God-fearing spirit will live on in the hearts he left behind.

His Departure Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Frank Gibson, Willie Gibson, David Bentley, and Mae Anna Bentley brother-in-laws, Ray Holmes; and sister-in-law, Katy Pearl O’Neal. The gates of heaven opened and the angels received our husband, daddy, granddaddy, brother, and most of all, a servant of Christ, Curtis received his wings on April 19, 2021, at his residence.

His Legacy Curtis ‘s love for his family will live on in the hearts of; his devoted wife, Mrs. Flora Jean Bentley of Barnesville; daughters, Mrs. Wanda (Lamar) Dallas if Gray, Mrs. Sharon (Melvin) Gaines of Forsyth, Mrs. Tyonza (Earwin) Hudson of Barnesville and Ms. Kizzy Bentley; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Ms. Rosa Mae Gibson; brothers, Mr. L.G. Gibson, Mr. Lloyd Bentley, Jr., Mr. J.W. Bentley, and Bishop Horace Bentley Sr; sisters-in-law, Betty A, Chambliss and Jeanette Sanders; brothers-in-law, Willie Fred (Katie) Holmes; dear friends. Tim (Cathy) Goulette, Edward Green, Sue, and Ralph, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends of whom all will cherish his memory. Funeral Service were held Tuesday, April 27, 2021 2:00 P.M. 100 Aldora Street Interment Greenwood Cemetery
