Mr. John Steve Talmadge, A.K. A. “Big John “, was born to the late Ms. Essie Barkley and Mr. Willie Talmadge, Sr. on September 25, 1971. He attended the Lamar County School System. John was also employed by the Middle Georgia Water Systems in Pike County for over 23 years. Preceding his death, in addition to his mother, were his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bubba and Mary Jane Barkley; his paternal grandparents, Mr. John Henry Talmadge and Ms. Francis Phinazee. His earthly departure was on February 18, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memories; brothers, Mr. Willie L. Talmadge, Danny Talmadge of Barnesville, GA, Willie Talmadge, Jr. of Decatur, GA, R’montaye Talmadge of Forsyth, GA, Nephews, Willitanvious Talmadge and Willie Talmadge. Nieces, Willkilia Talmadge and Aziyah Talmadge. Children that he raised, near and dear to his heart: Vanya Trice, Nabysis Trice, Kashaa Trice, and Kadeem Miller. A host of great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. Graveside Services were held Saturday, February 27, 2021 1:00 P.M. Unionville United Methodist Church Cemetery
