Obituary For Mr. Johnnie Ray Harris Jr.

Mr. Johnnie Ray Skelton Jr., was born on July 6, 1961 to the late Mrs. Allene Skelton Harris and the late Mr. Johnnie Carl Harris in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia.

He attended public school in the Thomaston City Public School and attended Robert E. Lee High School. At an early age, he joined Mary Lizzie Baptist Church where he remained throughout his lifetime.

During his early manhood, he met Ms. Kathy Elaine Harris. They were joined in marriage on August 14, 1982. To this union three daughters were born. They shared twenty-five years together until her passing on February 26, 2018.

During his leisure time, he enjoyed watching football, especially his Falcons, watching racing, spending time with his children and grandchildren and hanging out with his friends at the car wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Johnny Carl Raines and Johnnie C. Harris. On Sunday, November 5, 2023, the Lord called his name. He answered the call and his spirit took flight and went home to rest. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Ms. Tomekia Harris, Ms. Shenna Harris and Ms. Breanna Harris all of Thomaston, GA; Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters and brothers include, Mrs. Carolyn (Arthur) Price, Mr. William (Greta) Harris Mr. Brian (Reaundra) Harris all of Thomaston, GA. Ms. Gloria Harris and Ms. Jeanette Harris both of Atlanta, GA and Ms. Nellie Ruth Harris of Barnesville, GA; sister and brother-in-law included, Mrs. Rebecca Raines and Mrs. Kay (Lorenzo) Howell all of Thomaston, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
