Mr. Milton Thompson, more affectionately known as “Shorty,” was born on November 28, l954, to the late Mrs. Adelle Williams Thompson and the late Mr. Abraham Thompson, Sr. in Molena, Pike County,
Georgia. He was educated in the public school of Pike County. At an early age, he joined the Mount Olive Baptist Church.
When he reached manhood, he went to work as most men did during his time. He worked at Martha Mills for several years, Alonzo Wilson Country Store and lastly at Upson-Lee Primary School in the food service department.
During his leisure time, he enjoyed working on cars and he was a good mechanic, loved his animals, especially his cats and watching his cowboy movies and shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Abraham Thompson, Jr. and Johnny Lee Thompson and two sisters, Mary Ann Thompson and Letha Mae Bryant. On Saturday, April 19, 2025, the Lord called his name. He answered the call, and his spirit took flight returning to the Heavenly Father.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one brother, Mr. Homer Thompson of Thomaston, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Odessa Lucille (Melvin) Evans and Ms. Betty Jean Thompson, both of Zebulon, GA; brother-in-law, Mr. Louis Bryant of Concord, GA; a host of nieces and nephews that he fathered as his own.
