Obituary For Mr. O'Keithous Marcel Colbert

Mr. O’Keithous Marcel Colbert, more affectionately known as “Lil Bro,” was born on August 28, l979, to Mrs. Ola Mae Middlebrooks Daniel and Mr. Dennis Colbert in Thomaston, Upson County, GA.

He attended public school in the Upson County School System and attended Upson-Lee High School. Lil Bro, as he was affectionately known, was a member of the Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church.

He was formerly employed by Dart/Solo Company in Thomaston, GA and lastly employed by the 50 Yard Line in College Park, GA. He was the father of three children, Kionna, Kion and Kamia Colbert and the proud grandfather of one grandson, Akyus Bivins, who he called “Tater Bug.”

Lil Bro had an amazing personality that captured your heart. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, enjoying a good meal, watching the Dallas Cowboys football team, dancing and

spending time with his grandson. He was the family security guard from home. Nothing got pass him.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, O’Keith Montel Colbert, better known as “Big Bro.” On Monday, December 16, 2024, the Lord called his name. He answered the call and went home to eternal rest. His departure has saddened the hearts of his family, but his memory will live on.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Mrs. Ola Mae Middlebrooks Daniel; his father, Mr. Dennis Colbert; three children, Kionna Colbert, Kion Colbert and Kamia Colbert; one grandson, Akyus Bivins; two God-daughters, Janiya Brazier and Janiece Brazier; sisters and brothers include, Mrs. Chastity (Willie) Kendall, Mr. Kornelius Bankston, Ms. Regis Colbert, Mr. Monterious Hurley, Ms. Jessica Prater, Mr. Gaston Colbert and Ms. Tisha Dugger; aunts and uncles include, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Smith, Mrs. Shelia Brown Colbert, Mrs. Lynette (Alan) Montgomery, Ms. Priscilla Colbert, Mrs. Phyllis Colbert Loving, Mr. Joel Keith (Yolanda) Colbert, Mrs. Deborah Colbert (Alfred) Trice, Mr. Horace Searcy, Ms. Shirley Little, Mr. James Nimes and Mr. Curtis Middlebrooks; great aunts include, Mrs. Pearl Ivey, Mrs. Willie Lee Ivey, Ms. Lillian Spivey, Ms. Wynette Williams and Mrs. Mary Mallory; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other

relatives and friends.
