Mr. Raymond Stinson was born October 18, l955, to the late Mrs. Eldora Ellerbee Stinson and the late Deacon Olin Stinson in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. At an early age, he joined the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. He was educated in the public schools of Thomaston and Upson County. He graduated from R.E. Lee High School.
Raymond was taught, early in life by his father, that a man should work. When he married and became a father, he found employment with Martha Mills to support his family. He also worked for Blue Bird Bus Company, Tencate, Quad Graphics and lastly at the Thomaston-Upson County Civic Center.
Raymond loved the simple things in life. He loved being at home. He loved watching church on television and watching movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Lindsey Stinson and one brother, Douglas Stinson. On Sunday, April 6, 2025, his spirit took flight and returned to the Heavenly Father. His departure has saddened the hearts of his family, but his memory will live on.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Ms. Carisma Edwards of Barnesville, GA and Ms. LeNora Stinson of Phenix City, AL; two grandchildren, Amare Collier of Barnesville, GA and Niemah Fahie of Thomaston, GA; one great-grandchild, Nylah Fahie of Thomaston, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Dorine Ferguson and Mrs. Eloise (Albert) Allen both of Thomaston, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
