Obituary For Mr. Ricky Lee Body

Mr. Ricky Lee Body was born on May 21, 1968, in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia, to the late Ms. Mary Kate Middlebrooks and the late Mr. Monroe Hilton (M.H.) Mann. He was raised by Mr. Clifford Body and received his education in the public schools of Upson County.

Ricky entered the workforce at an early age. As a teenager, he began working as a construction helper, where he learned the skill of bricklaying. He was employed for many years with Raines Construction and took pride in the work he performed.

More affectionately known as “Slick Rick Body” by his friends, Ricky possessed a joyful spirit and loved being surrounded by family and friends. During his leisure time, he enjoyed smoking his Cuban cigars, playing chess, and relaxing on his porch. He loved the thrill of taking chances and enjoyed playing the lottery. Ricky was also very photogenic and loved taking pictures with his family and friends, creating many memories for them to cherish.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Mr. Clifford Body, who raised him; and two sisters, Kathy Middlebrooks and Tanya Searcy.

On Thursday, August 6, 2026, the Lord called his name. He answered the call and entered into eternal rest. He will be greatly missed by his children, family, and many friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Mr. Tyson Holmes of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Adarius “Dee” Caslin and Mrs. Maci (Keontae) Brown, both of Barnesville, GA; four grandchildren also survive; three sisters, Ms. Gloria Lynn Middlebrooks and Mrs. Cynthia (John) Fagan, both of Thomaston, GA, and Mrs. Sherry (Carl) Fagan of Hampton, GA; two brothers, Mr. Dexter Middlebrooks of Griffin, GA and Mr. Willie Joe (Marissa) Middlebrooks of Jacksonville, FL; other siblings: Maria Furlow, Felecia Furlow, Jermaine Mann, Ms. Doris Body and Mr. Michael Body all of Thomaston, GA; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
