Obituary For Mr. Samuel Willis

Mr. Samuel Willis was born on March 30, 1958, to the late Mrs. Eldora Alford Willis and the late Mr. Calvin Willis in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. He attended public school in the Upson County School System.

At an early age, He joined the Midway Baptist Church.

He was a dedicated and faithful employee during his working career. He was employed for seven years at Thomaston Mills and thirty years for the Upson County Board of Education.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Chaney and Calvin Junior Willis; sisters, Bernice Collier and Betty “Queen B” Parks. On Thursday, October 2, 2025, the Lord called him home from labor to reward. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, five sisters, Shallie Willis, Barbara Jean Willis, Muriel Willis, Sherley Willis all of Thomaston, GA and Josephine Holloway of Griffin, Ga; three children he helped raise, Janet Parks of Barnesville, GA, Karen Parks and Wendy (Abdul) Muhammad both of Thomaston, GA; a devoted friend, Ronnie Stinson of Thomaston, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
