Mr. Tyleek Deion Hardaway passed on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 2:30 P.M. in the George E. Trice, Jr. Memorial Chapel. Interment will be held privately in the Southview Cemetery. Trice Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all professional services. Please keep the Hobbs and Hardaway families in prayer.
Mr. Tyleek Deion Hardaway was born on December 8, 1999, to Ms. Tharessa Lorraine Hobbs and Mr. Terry Hardaway, Sr. in Thomaston, Upson County GA. At an early age, he joined the Fellowship Baptist Church, where he sung in the youth choir and participated in youth activities. He later joined Greater Birth Missionary Church of God. Tyleek was educated in the Upson County School System and graduated from Upson-Lee High School with the Class of 2018. After high school, he attended Georgia State University for two years. He later found employment at Turkey Creek Pork Skins and lastly at Quad Graphics. During his early years, Tyleek played recreational football and baseball. In high school, he played with the Upson-Lee Ninth Grade football team. He was active in the Thomaston Trio Upward Bound program. During his leisure time, he enjoyed drawing, playing video games, singing, rapping music, and spending time with family. Tyleek was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mrs. Janie (Jessie) Walton, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Frankie Maude Hardaway. On Thursday, September 29, 2022, his spirit had already taken its flight into eternal rest. While his departure has saddened the hearts of his family, his memory will live on in their hearts. Tyleek leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Ms. Tharessa Hobbs; his father, Mr. Terry Hardaway, Sr.; one brother Mr. Terry Hardaway, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Mr. George (Betty) Lockhart; aunts and uncles, Ms. Yeasmin Cherry, Ms. Takara Cherry, Mr. Christopher (Cassandra) Lockhart, Mrs. Kayla Cooper, Ms. Tracey Blasingame, Mr. Freddy Walker, Mrs. Annie Stubbs, Ms. Mary Hardaway, Mrs. Charlotte (Rev. Calvin) Minter, Mrs. Sylvia Brown, Mr. Robert (Pat) Hardaway, Mr. Jack (Vicky) Hardaway, Mr. David Hardaway, Mr. Wayne (Anita) Hardaway, and Mr. Albert Hardaway, great-aunt and uncles include, Mr. Mack Hobbs, Mrs. Matilda (William) Hatchell, Mr. Jeffery (Mary) Hobbs, Mrs. Paula Dawson, Mr. Clark Chaney and several other great-aunts. great-uncles, great-great-aunts and uncles; three close cousins, YaMori Cherry, Jacara Cherry and Yamon Cherry; and a host of there cousins, other relatives and friends.
