Mr. Walter Lee Napier, Jr. was born on May 24, 1953, in Barnesville, Lamar County, Georgia, to the late Mr. Walter B. Napier, Sr. and Mrs. Mable Furlow Napier. On October 27, 2025, Mr. Napier peacefully transitioned from this life, surrounded by his loving family.
Walter was a fun-loving, generous, and friendly man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed laughter, good company, and bringing joy to others. He had a deep love for music, dancing, and especially spending time outdoors fishing. One of his greatest pleasures was grilling for family and friends---his favorite dish being ribs. Whether sharing stories or offering a wave, he could often be found sitting on the porch talking with anyone who passed by.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Walter served his country honorably in the United States Army for 15 years as a Crew Chief in the Aviation Department. After his military service, he continued to demonstrate his strong work ethic during his 20-year career at Vulcan in Macon, Georgia.
Walter's memory will forever be cherished by his devoted wife, Mrs. Bereatha Johnson Napier, and his loving children: Mr. Braion (Chanel) Napier of Macon, GA; Ms. Conchata Hosley of Port St. Lucie, FL; Mr. Christopher Sanders of Barnesville, GA; and Mrs. Ramona (David) Saintandre of Wyoming, MI. He also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who were the light of his life.
He is also survived by his sisters: Ms. Patricia Ann Napier of Milner, GA; Mrs. Michelle (Rodney) Mallory of Columbus, GA; and Ms. Beverly Brown of Yatesville, GA; his brothers: Mr. Jackie Napier of Warner Robins, GA; and Mr. Ricky (Marie) Napier of Napier of Yatesville, GA.
Walter's extended family includes his sister-in-law: Ms. Ella Banks of Barnesville, GA; his brothers-in-law: Mr. Earnest Johnson of Barnesville, GA; Mr. Mark Johnson of Portsmouth, VA: and Mr. Winfred (Tammy) Johnson of Macon, GA.
A dear friend, Mr. Thomas Wise, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends, also mourn his passing.
Walter Lee Napier, Jr. will be remembered for his kindness, humor, love of life, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him. His legacy of laughter, love, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
