Obituary For Mrs. Charlene Paige

Mrs. Charlene Walker Paige was born on July 26, 1940 to the late Mrs. Willie Clyde Stinson Walker and the late Mr. Bennie Calvin Walker in Thomaston, Upson County, GA. She was educated at the Thomaston Training School. During her young womanhood, Charlene married Mr. Johnnie Fred Paige. To this union, six children were born. She was a loving wife and mother who raised her children to know and trust the Lord. To help support her family, she was a private duty housekeeper for Mr. Dan (Gail) Bramlett, Dr. J. (Freddie) Davis, Mr. Bill (Charlene) Woodall; and she was later employed as a CNA at West Village Retirement Center. At an early age, Charlene joined the Henderson Temple True Church of God in Christ. She remained faithful all of her adult life. She later joined the Wings of Joy Pentecostal Church and lastly at Stonewell Worship Center. She loved the teaching of the word and always had a relationship with the Lord. At Stonewell, she was a member of the Women’s Ministry. Charlene was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Davis; and one son, Ricky Paige. On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, the Lord called her name. She answered the call, and her spirit went home to eternal rest. Charlene is survived by five children, Mrs. Robyn Walker, Ms. Earlene Paige, Mr. Johnnie L. Paige and Mr. Vinnie S. (Melinda) Paige of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Marcus (Cheryl) Paige of Upper Marlboro, MD; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Margie (Henry) Rhines, Mrs. Barbara Carter, Mrs. Vernette (Rev. Morris) Myrick, Mrs. Mary Daniels, and Mrs. Emma S. Beckham all of Thomaston, GA; one brother, Mr. Benjamin (Ruby) Walker of Thomaston, GA; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jeanette Paige of Griffin, GA; one brother-in-law, Mr. Charles Davis of Riviera Beach, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was held Wednesday , March 30, 2022 2:00 P.m. Stonewell Worship Center Interment Upson Memorial Gardens
