Mrs. Dorothy Holmes passed on Wednesday, June 7, 2023

Dorothy’s entrance into this world was on July 24, 1945, in Barnesville, Lamar County. She was born to the union of the late Mrs. Lola McClendon Daniels & Mr. Arthur Daniels. She sought her education at Booker High School.

Dorothy was a woman that reared her family with strict & stern principles. She loved unconditionally and didn’t mind sharing her parables with her children & grandchildren. She possessed a good heart, was a great cook, and she was a protector of her children. She will be forever known for her sassiness and her love for holidays celebration.

Dorothy's transition has led to a family reunion with her parents and siblings. She is now with her God "King Jesus'. She has fulfilled her purpose on earth. She has left the family with fond memories. She provided for her family and now God has whispered to Dorothy on June 7, 2023. She answered and now she has completed this earthly journey.

Precious memories will live on in the hearts of her daughters. Ms. Dorothy Flynt of Griffin, and Ms. Betty A Holmes of Barnesville. Sons Mr. Raymond L. Homes of Griffin, Mr. Oscar C. Holmes of Barnesville, Minister Michael D. Holmes of Woodbury, and Mr. Bobby L. Holmes of Barnesville. Twenty Grandchildren, Twenty Six Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild also survive. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends will miss her presence.

Trice Funeral Home Of Barnesville will be in charge of all arrangements.
