Obituary For Mrs. Dorothy Jordan

Mrs. Dorothy Jordan passed on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Trice Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Southview Cemetery. Trice Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements. Please keep the Jordan family in prayer. Mrs. Dorothy Ann Holsey Jordan was born on September 14, 1957, to the late Mrs. Mary Emma Holsey and the late Mr. John Wesley Adams in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. She was educated in the Upson County School System and attended R. E. Lee High School. In her earlier years, Dorothy moved to Atlanta, GA, where she resided for eight years. She would later return to Thomaston, GA to make it her home. On March 1, 2002, she married Mr. Johnny Jordan. They shared over twenty years together. She was the mother of three children of whom she loved very much. To help support her family, she was employed by South Pork Bar-B-Q. During her leisure time, Dorothy enjoyed cooking, shopping, watching television, and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Essie Mae Holsey and Ella Mae Carter; and two brothers, Mr. Robert Adams and Mr. John Wesley Holsey (aka Jr. Adams). On Wednesday, February 22, 2023, the Lord called her name. She answered the call and went to her eternal home. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Mr. Johnny Jordan of Thomaston, GA; three children, Ms. Keshia Adams and Mr. Rafeal Jordan both of Thomaston, GA and Mrs. Chakara (Jarvis) Wilson of Hampton, GA; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Shirley Reeves and Ms. Mary Holsey both of Thomaston, GA; mother-in-law, Mrs. Louise Maines of Thomaston, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mrs. Katrina (Lester) Chambless, Mrs. Mary (Jeffery) Kirk, Mrs. Teresa (Alfred) Daniely, Mr. Jessie (Carrie) Maines Jr., Ms. Ethel Maines, Mr. Willie (Lisa) Maines and Mr. Richard Maines all of Thomaston, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
