Obituary For Mrs. Estella Barrett

Born and raised in Barnesville, GA, Mrs. Estella Foster Barrett began her long, full life of wondrous adventures on March 12, 1927. She was born the fourth child to the parentage of the late Mrs. Rose Lee Foster and the late Mr. Walter Foster. While at the tender age of 15, Estella married her lifelong spouse, Mr. Otis James Barrett. Their union would last for over 50 years. To her family, she was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Estella enjoyed the simple things in life including fishing, going to yard sales, gardening, crossword puzzles and knitting. She was a very outspoken and kind person who had a heart of gold. She was the root of her family tree and was blessed to see the fifth generation of her tree being born. Estella was preceded in death by her parent; her husband, Otis James Barrett; her sons, Willie Oscar Barrett, Mannon Barrett, Cheyenne Barrett, Robert Barrett, and Victor Barrett; and her daughters Jurisha Alford and Wendy Barrett. On Saturday, October 30, 2021, the Lord decided it was time for her to depart from this earthly journey. Her name was called, she answered, and her spirit took flight. Her life was filling, and her presence will always be remembered. Estella leaves to cherish her memory six children, Catherine Day, Lewis James Barrett, Alfreda Owusu. Doris Barrett, Angelo Barrett, and Wanda Young; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
