Mrs. Mary Lois Grant Ausbrooks was born on January 15, 1955 to the late Mrs. Flossie Mae Corbin Grant and the late Mr. Sol Morris Grant, Sr. in Thomaston Upson County, Georgia. She attended public school in the Upson County School System and Drake High School. During her early womanhood, she met and married Mr. Allan Ausbrooks. To their union, six children were born. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and grandmother who loved her family dearly, and she was loved in return. Her husband, Allan preceded her in death on December 30, 1999.
Mary was employed as maintenance staff by the Upson County School System. She loved her job and was a faithful employee. She not only raised her children but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. The things she enjoyed most in life was babysitting her grandchildren, cleaning and cooking. On Monday, December 28, 2020, the Lord called her name. She answered, her spirit took flight, and she went home to rest. Her departure has saddened her family, but her memory will live on in their hearts. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lisa Grant; two brothers, Sol Morris Grant, Jr., and Donald Grant. Mary leaves to cherish her memory , six children, Mr. Allan Ausbrooks, Jr., Mr. Anthony Ausbrooks, Ms. Monica Ausbrooks, Mr. Kelecy Ausbrooks, and Mr. Montavious Ausbrooks all of Thomaston, GA, and Mr. Bryan (LaNedra) Ausbrooks of McDonough, GA; nineteen grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Monnie Brazil, Ms. Loretta Grant, and Mrs. Brenda Grant Carter all of Thomaston, GA; one aunt who was more like a sister, Mrs. Bonnie Atwater of Thomaston, GA; sister-in-law, Mrs. Jackie D. Grant of Thomaston, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mary by being her neighbor. She was very nice and also funny. Kept me laughing. Still praying for her family.
