Ms. Curley Mae Napier was born on March 13, 1946 in Yatesville, Upson County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mrs. Fannie Maude Boyd Napier and the late Mr. John Thomas Napier, Sr. Curley was raised in Yatesville, GA and attended the Cunningham School. She held various jobs throughout Upson County. She was a quiet soul who loved spending time with her family. At an early age, Curley joined the Pine Grove Baptist Church. She went on to the join Rehoboth Deliverance Center Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Murphy Pace and Betty Ann Pace and later Pastor Phyllis Pace. She served as a church mother. Curley was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters and brothers to include Lucious Napier, Lois Napier, Louise Napier, Melvin Napier, Rose Bud Batiste, John Henry Napier, Rosa May Lyons, John Thomas Napier, Jr., and Grace Napier. On Monday, July 12, 2021, the Lord decided that it was time for Curley to end her earthly journey. He called her name, and she went home to be with the Lord. Her family is saddened by her departure, but her memory and legacy will live on forever. Curley leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Ms. Jacqueline Atwater of Thomaston, GA and Mrs. Vickey Brownlee of Yatesville, GA; four sons, Mr. Jesse (Jamita) Napier of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Chris (Debbie) Napier of Forsyth, GA, Mr. Elliot (Cherry) Napier and Minister Timothy (Betty) Napier both of Thomaston, GA; a son she raised as her own, Mr. Earl (Sonya) Lyons of Barnesville, GA; seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ms. Iwilla Napier and Mrs. Bobbie Rutland both of Thomaston, GA; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Audrey Napier of Yatesville, GA; two devoted friends, Mrs. Joanne Releford and Ms. Carolyn Ivey; a host of loving nieces and nephews she raised as her own; and many dear friends who will miss her presence.
