Obituary For Ms. Shirley Willis

Ms. Shirley Willis was born on April 17, 1959, in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia, to the late Mrs. Eldora Alford Willis and the late Mr. Calvin Willis.

Because of her disability, Shirley spent her life receiving compassionate care in residential care homes. Her final residence was Southern Community Living, LLC, in McDonough, Georgia, where she was lovingly cared for and treated like family. Throughout her 67 years, Shirley touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and the joy she brought to those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bernice Collier and Betty “Queen B” Parks; and three brothers, Robert Chaney, Calvin Junior Willis and Samuel Willis.

On Monday, July 20, 2026, the Lord called her name. She answered the call and entered into eternal rest.

She leaves to cherish her memory four siblings, Shallie Willis, Barbara Jean Willis, Muriel Willis, and Josephine Holloway, all of Thomaston, GA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
