Obituary For Mr. Rickey Harden

Mr. Rickey Harden was born on May 11, 1958, in Barnesville, Lamar County, Georgia, to the late Ms. Nellie Pearl Harden. He was educated in the public schools of Lamar County and graduated from Lamar County High School.

Upon reaching adulthood, Rickey found employment at Dundee Mills in Griffin, Georgia, where he worked as a material handler. He was the proud father of one daughter, Shamecia Graham. On August 26, 1976, he was united in marriage to Ms. Nonia Burnette.

During his leisure time, Rickey enjoyed watching football, especially cheering for the Atlanta Falcons. He also enjoyed going out to eat, playing cards, and telling jokes that brought laughter to those around him.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Stacy Shields.

On Monday, July 6, 2026, his earthly life came to an end. Though his departure has saddened the hearts of his family, his memory will continue to live on in the lives of those who loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Mrs. Nonia Harden; one daughter, Shamecia (Vincent) Graham; one granddaughter, Shaterrica Lockhart; one stepdaughter, Ms. Shronda King, and one stepson, Mr. Allen Harden, both of Thomaston, GA; five step-grandchildren; three sisters, Ms. Colletta Harris and Ms. Lisa Harley, both of Indian Head, MD, and Mrs. Cassandra (Harold) Jones of Griffin, GA; one brother, Mr. Ronnie (Bertha) Harden of Milner, GA; two sisters-in-law, Ms. Brenda Mann and Ms. Glenda Mann, both of Thomaston, GA; two aunts, Mrs. Cyd Powell of Stockbridge, GA, and Mrs. Marcia Harden of Thomaston, GA; one uncle, Mr. Thomas Harden of Bailey, MS; one devoted niece, Ms. Ronda Harden of Milner, GA; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.”
