Bot R. Miles Jr. was born to the late Goldie Matthews Miles and Bot R. Miles Sr. in Alexandria, VA on October 9, 1950, and transitioned his earthly suit to his heavenly reward on October 8, 2020 in Marion, South Carolina.
As a child he grew up in Alexandria, VA. He attended TC Williams and George Washington High Schools in Alexandria, VA. He then continued on to Northern Virginia Community College. He also lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma for three years working for UPS as a truck driver. He then returned to Virginia living in Sterling Park. He started his first small business, Miles Unlimited, after working for Orkin Pest Control. He was determined to succeed and did just that. He purchased his second home and while running his business during the daylight hours he began working for United Airlines where he worked for 18 years.
He was a very driven individual and as he continued to work towards his dreams and goals, he met his lovely wife, Elaine Miles, of 25 years. They eventually relocated from Manassas, VA to Loris, SC. Bot enjoyed working on and occasionally driving his 1972 Mach1 Mustang. He loved fishing, good music, dancing, football, family gatherings, and especially playing jokes on people.
Bot was preceded in death by his brother Sylvania C. Miles and one sister Waheedah Mutee.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Miles of SC, four children Jermaine C. Miles of NC, Jason A. Miles of NC, Calise Lee-Edwards of VA, and Pervis C. Lee of MD.
