Dear Aunt Bertha, it's hard to say goodbye. You are no longer suffering and I can take comfort in that, and also knowing that you are at rest with the two great loves of your life, Uncle Dank & Keith, and of course the Lover of your(our) soul, Jesus. I always enjoyed coming to visit from Indiana as a boy on the Grayhound bus with my Mama(Mildred), Aunt Lillian, and all us kids. Then as a young man, and now ito my senior years I always enjoyed coming to visit you and family. I will always remember you opening your home & your heart with acts of kindness. Our prayers go out to the Gibbs/and Woodruff family in Ohio. Bertha was a true solider and a woman of God, and she will truly be missed. From Martha Catchings and Kary Kincaid Mosley Columbus Ohio.
Ms. Bertha, I'm truly going to miss our twice a month talks; especially you telling me I travel too much and need to stay home. My sincere condolences to the family of Ms. Bertha. May she RIP. I learned so much from you in our children's Sunday school class in the late 70s and 80s; the beattitudes, the disciple, (my favorite was Bartholomew)the books of the Bible, the fruits of the Spirit. Oh, I'll never forget Dank's 1st sermon:You Must Be Born Again from John 3:16. The memories of cleaning out your cabinets after Sunday school until I decided not to come back after Sunday school. You were such a joy to know, visiting with you at cuz Eva Humphrey's house. Now you are resting with some of the best that have gone on to be with God. I'm still in shock I didn't make it back to Georgia to see you before you departed this life. See you in the morning! Junava Jackson
