To the BEST Uncle anyone could have. This hurt so much. I will remember you forever. Love, Bobbie Robinson Davis
They say that life is measured by MOMENTS, not minutes.
So, in measuring the moments that I've shared with you- I will only measure the memories that matter... All of them!
I remember you at every family function, making sure that everybody got there and made it home safely
I remember you calming every silly/chaotic moment at our family barbeques/parties
I remember you cracking jokes when it got too quiet
I remember the million-dollar smile you would flash at the women walking around- As if you needed another girlfriend
I remember the moment I first saw you dance, the coolest two-step to Zapp & Roger
As a kid I thought, "Welp- I guess we're dancing then"... and I haven't sat down since.
I even remember how your cigarette used to sit on your lip while you were talking to people.
I'd wait (what seemed like forever) for that cigarette to fall--- it never did.
I remember so many selfless moments, giving and helping everyone.
I remember no moments of you ever asking for help.
You kept the family together,
You loved us, protected us, and made sure that EVERYONE was good...
I remember thinking that "As long as Uncle Bob's there, everybody's safe". & You were always there.
Memories, moments, and memories!
I remember the moment I started thinking that you were invincible... I was four.
It wasn't until 32 years later [on a Tuesday], would I realize that I still felt this way and be proven wrong.
And it isn't until now that I really wish that I could've shared these memories of you... WITH YOU!
I will always remember thinking that this is a moment we will never forget... because this is our last moment and memory with you.
Rest in Peace, Live in Memory🖤🖤🖤
