Rest in peace Michael! Classmate, Helen Williams Griffin
Mike will truly be missed. He was a person who loved family to the max. Once I became an adult along with the advancement of technology, we continued to communicate via phone, and eventually texting. We had political and family related conversations and even jokes. Plus, we shared our individual perspectives. Mike will definitely be missed in his various capacities as a brother, father, professional, alumnus, cousin, uncle, fraternity member, neighbor, etc.
Michael, you were a faithful supporter of Johnson C Smith University and our Class of 1967 efforts, reunions, class calls, etc. May your family be proud of your legacy and accomplishments. May they trust that God will never leave them or forsake them. Carole Coles Henley JCSU 1967
No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. But take comfort in knowing that Michael is now resting in the arms of our Lord. My deepest condolences.

Neither holidays nor family reunions will ever be the same. My beloved Cousin Mike started our tradition of sharing text messages during holidays. Mike reminded me of how he visited with our family in Brooklyn when I was too young too remember. He of Alpha Phi Alpha and I of Omega Psi Phi, we had the Alpha and the Omega connection covered. There is too much enduring love and too many good memories for me to be sad. Your Cousin Benjie
