My most deepest condolences to Teddy Jr and the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I met Jon back in 2016 because he was my replacement at San Jose Meps. I remember telling my coworker, Mrs. Sonya ugh idk about him, he may not make the cut. The job we did was finalizing the packets of our newly recruits before they left for training. Every minute counted against us. We were able to work side by side for a few months before I departed. If you knew Jon, he moved in slow motion but always would get the job done and of course proved me wrong.
Jon's perceptive on life was so uplifting he was always a pleasure to be around. He was the type to give you his shirt even if it was his last one. In 2017, I had the opportunity to witness when he helped my sister while she was still in California. From that moment on, I told Jon I am forever grateful and you will always be known as family. We built an amazing friendship throughout the years that led to him being my big brother.
In 2020, I received a FaceTime from Jon telling me, sis I'm coming to Korea! The first thing I told him was awesome, I'll have a solid gym partner! Little did he know, I had plans on competing for a show, but sure enough he realized immediately! Being away from your kids is tough, but when you have family stationed closed by it helps to ease the pain of separation.
The memories created in California & Korea will never be forgotten. The conversations we had will always be cherished. You are forever in my heart Jon aka Big Bro! Condolences to your family. ~WO1 Valentin, Laura aka little sis

For SSG Taylor's family, for his mother and wife, my deepest condolences for such a great loss of a son and a husband that was such a kind person, such a brave man and Soldier. I could speak days in remembrance of his good deeds for the country, for all the Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines, and others civilians and military he guided through the Freedom's Front Doors on their journey, for his peers, for his commanders, for his family, and for his friends.
