I have known Drena for over fifty years. She moved in next door to my parents and me on Lake Sinclair. I spent more time at her house than I did my own! She taught me how to work with an autistic boy who she had moved in with her to hopefully provide for him a better quality of life than he could expect at the Hospital. Eventually, she hired me to help with his care. Aside from that, we had great times as well. She took me waterskiing almost every day in the summer and came to all my home basketball games for three years! She became the sister I never had and I loved her dearly. When she moved away, I was heartbroken for a time, but I knew that it was for her best. Thank you, Drena...until we meet again...
Family, my deepest condolences on the loss of Drena. She was a special lady and long time family friend. she will be missed. My thoughts and prayers .
