Obituary For Jayven Reon Martin, Sr.

MR. JAYVEN REON MARTIN, SR. – Age 22, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee formerly of LaFayette, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 with his brother Sayveon James Martin from an automobile accident. Jayven was born May 9, 2000. He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, LaFayette, GA. He was a graduate of South Pittsburg High School Class of 2018 where he was on the varsity football team. He was last employed with Retail Direct as a Delivery Driver. He was preceded by his father, Morris James Martin, paternal grandparents, Jerry and Charlotine Martin.

He is survived by his son, Jayven Reon Martin, Jr.; mother, LaRhonda Gail Martin; stepmother, Tasha Martin; sisters, Zaria Martin, Jaylaan Dallas, and Jaleah Dallas; brother, Jaylon Walker; maternal grandparents, Herman (Robbie) McSears, and Joan Ware; special friend, Toneisha Baker, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Service will be Saturday June 11, 2022 at 1:00 P. M. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 289 Dunwoody Road, LaFayette, GA 30728, with Pastor Rheubin M. Taylor, Eulogist. Jayven and Sayveon Martin will lie in state on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at the church. Following COVID-19 guidelines, the family is asking attendees to please wear a mask. Funeral Service will be live streamed on the Willis Funeral Home Facebook page. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.

I worked with jay at McDonald's along with his brother. They were both very respectful people. It was never a dull day when they and a couple of their friends was on the shift. Jay always helped anyone that needed help, and wouldn't let women carry heavy objects. The boys was raised very respectful, and will be missed dearly!!

I met Jayven last summer. We only hung out one time, but it was nothing but laughter and smiles. He truly knew how to make me crack a smile even if we were just texting. I can't believe he is gone, and I just talked to him last week. May he Rest In Peace with his brother and his dad.. continued prayers for him and his brothers family. ❤️ Until we meet again friend!

I worked with Jay at Lowe's. He was always willing to help out. I would help him, and he would help me. I thought a lot of him, and will never forget him. He was a good friend.

I worked with Jayven for a short time at Lowe's. He was one of the kindest young men I had met in a long time. It was a pleasure working with him and knowing his kind heart.
