With profound sorrow, we share the passing of our Beloved Samuel Wayne Mosley, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who departed this life on May 5, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on April 4, 1950, Samuel was a source of love, strength, and unwavering faith to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the Army, stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. Following his return, he embraced leadership roles at Mount Vernon and Galey & Lord before dedicating himself to the children of Pennville Elementary and Leroy Massey as a janitor, affectionately known to them as βUncle Wayne.β His dedication to service continued as a bus driver for the Chattooga County School District, a role he held dear until his retirement in 2016. Additionally, he nurtured his artistic talent through Rising Star, a family business where he crafted beautiful frames for works of art. Samuel was a deeply cherished member of his family. He was born to Hamp Sr. and Jessie Mosley. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Evelyn Gill and Elaine Owens, and his brothers Benjamin Mosley and Herbert Mosley. Left to cherish and remember his special spirit are his siblings: Jessie Starr, Paulette Perry, Hamp (Shirley) Mosley, Iris (Bishop Alex) Allen, LaTrellial Mosley, Phyllis Price, Michael Mosley, Stanley Mosley, and Stacey (LaβDell) Kidd. His devotion to family lives on in his loving wife, Annie Mosley, and his children: his late daughter Preeya, survived by her husband John Fain Jr. and their two beautiful daughters, Desiree and Jania, and his son Alex, who, alongside his wife Erica, shares two wonderful children, Zander and Rachel. Samuel also dedicated himself to his faith as a loyal member of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. His passions extended to gardening, fishing, and hunting. Samuel, a patient and God-fearing soul, touched countless lives with his kindness and unwavering faith. His legacy of hard work, love, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A patient and God-fearing man, Samuel touched the lives of many with his kindness and unwavering faith. He taught us the importance of hard work, love, and devotion, leaving a legacy that will forever resonate in our hearts.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Oak Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor George Beavers and other Ministers Officiating. Family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home.

RIP Mr. Moseley, your life and the life of the family that you raised is a guiding light to all who follow. Prayers for Annie and all who love and feel the lose of your physical presence, but your spiritual presence will be ever present in this world! Peace and comfort to all.
Job well done soldier, I am going to truly miss you. Being your first grandchild, you made sure to teach, support, and guide me with EVERYTHING I did. I reminisce on the Garden days we had, The countless mowings of the yard, the laughs we shared, teaching me how to throw out my line of the fishing rod was one of the memories I'll never forget (we'd throw our line into the front yard from the porch and reel it back in until we went to the lake), you taught me how to shoot my first gun rather we were squirrel watching on the front porch or just aiming at water jugs in the good ole country back yard, taught me how to fry the best fish just like you!!! You're the reason I even joined the military. I Love You Pawpaw!! You made sure we knew the lord and for that I thank you. Continue to watch over us. Gone but never forgotten give mommma the biggest hug up there.
Giving Honor to God, we know the day nor the hour God must have needed another Angel so he called brother Wayne, To Annie you have my deepest condolences. To the family ,I will continue to keep you and your family in prayer.πβ€οΈπβ€οΈπβ€οΈπβ€οΈπβ€οΈπβ€οΈπ
Our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers are with Annie Mae, Alex, and all of the family and friends of Wayne Mosley. May God continue to bless, comfort, strengthen, and sustain each of you, and give you peace. We love you!
Condolences to our family; this is a big loss in our family structure and our church family. Wayne was like a big brother to me. He and Melvin taught my cousins and I how to fish and hunt and other life survival skills that most people never take the time to do if it weren't their child. He will be sorely missed in our lives and community.
Dear Mosley family, We are sorry for your loss. We pray for the Lord's comfort and peace, knowing that Mr. Mosley is safe in the arms of his Lord and Savior. We are comforted with the truth of scripture that reminds us how precious in his sight is the death of those he loves. With love and sympathy, Pastor Billy McKillop and the New City Fellowship family.
Our thoughts and prayers are extended to Annie Mae & Family. God will provide you with love, strength, peace, and comfort! We love you all!
