Obituary For Bryant Swayne
Mr. Bryant Maurice Swayne, 62, of Hickory, North Carolina transitioned on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Wake Forest Medical Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
He was born on July 10, 1963 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Griffin Swayne and Mabel Harris Swayne.
Bryant graduated from Mt. View High School. He was a faithful member of Morning Star First Baptist Church. He was employed at Preston Funeral Home.
A Memorial service will be will be Saturday, July 26, 2025 1:00 p.m. at Morning Star First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

I had the honor to share a special bond with Bryant these past few years. We were so different in some ways, yet alike in so many others. Regardless of all that, we're both children of The King. When I first met Bryant, he told me his last little white friend "up & moved away on him". He then said that I would be his new little white friend! Now it feels like Bryant has up & moved away on me, but I can rest assured this is only for a time. My heart goes out to all the family & friends who love and will miss Bryant. God bless you all.
