I will truly miss my cousin. He was a role model, mentor and faithful man of God. I was privileged to be able to spend time with him during our rides to family reunion meetings. I'll never forget the laughs, the stories and the wisdom he shared with me. He was one of a kind and truly a blessing to our family and all who knew him. -Philemon Nichols

Mr Sanford would take me fishing and listen to Blues music. He was a good fisherman but he didn't like fish. He was always happy and thoughtful. He lived his life simply and honorably. Boris De Laine
