Deacon Warren Steve Borders, 74, of Shelby, North Carolina transitioned on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Atrium Health Main β Charlotte, North Carolina.
He was born on September 28, 1951 to the late Weldon David Borders and Jennie B. Roberts Borders.
Warren was a member of Washington Missionary Baptist Church. He received his associateβs degree from Cleveland Community College. He retired from Freightliner.
Funeral Service will be Sunday, November 9. 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Washington Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
On the day of the service the body will be placed in the church at 1:30 for public viewing.

My condolences to the family especially to Doris and Children. He will be truly missed. He's not only my cousin but a good childhood friend we grew up together in the same neighborhood, my childhood best friend. My heart is so heavy but l know he's at peace. May the Angels continue to watch over the family.
To the family of Warren would you to know he was a friend and a good co worker always willing to help. His team at frieghtliner Gastonia loved our friend and talked to him from time to time. We hate to hear he has passed.
