Norman Andrew Dunlap II, 58, was born on Wednesday, June 28, 1967.
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman Andrew Dunlap II on December 1, 2025. Norman faced life with extraordinary strength and an unwavering sense of humor. After being given just 21 months to live, he defied all odds and blessed his family 12 additional years filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Norman cherished the simple joys of life. He had a true passion for cooking and found happiness in sharing good food with the people he loved most. Whether he was preparing a favorite family dish or cracking a joke to lighten the moment, Norman had a gift for bringing comfort, joy, and togetherness into every space he entered.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Rowena D. Dunlap, who stood faithfully by his side through every season of life. Norman is also survived by his father, Norman A. Dunlap Sr., his two sisters, and a large family who held him dearly.
A proud and dedicated father, Norman is survived by 13 children, who will forever carry his humor, resilience, and strength. His legacy continues through his 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense happiness and pride.
Norman's life was a remarkable testament to perseverance, love, and the powerful bond of family. Though he will be profoundly missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
May he rest in peace and joyful reunion with those who went before him.

I love you dad, since the day you held me in your lap at the social services community room when I was 6, to the time you had official adoption papers in your hands in 97, to proms and graduation days, many house parties and festivities and then as time passed us all by the time you whispered in my ear a few weeks ago how much you love me too. I know you're on a peaceful journey now and full of beautiful colors, vibrant lights, plenty of Madonna, Luther vandross, Cindi, dolly, oceans blue and mountains green. Your journey is full of love ❤️. I'm sorry you won't be a vessel in this world to be present for future events but your presence in energy will be forever more in all our hearts. I'll see your spirit again in the next life. Love your middle child.
My deepest condolences, prayers, thoughts and love are with the family of Mr. Norman Dunlap. As the kindergarten teacher of several of his children, I remember him as an amazing, devoted and dedicated husband and father.
