Doretha Respess Raynor,98, of Morehead City, NC., passed Monday, June 2, 2025, at Carteret Health Care.
Public viewing is Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Oscar’s Mortuary and Tuesday, 1:00 PM at St. Mark AME Zion Church.
Funeral services will be held, 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at St. Mark AME Zion Church, Morehead City (Mansfield Community), NC. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park Cemetery Newport, NC.
She is survived by her three sons, Thomas Reginald Raynor (Imogene), Charleston, SC, Leslie Earl Raynor, Jr., Newport, NC, and Stephen Mark Raynor, Havelock, NC and her daughter, Katrina Lynette Raynor of the home; one son-in-law, Lucius Thomas, Newport, NC, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

Katrina and Steven, she was a wonderful lady. I so enjoyed my time with her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Praying the Our Father will give you peace, comfort, and rest in this difficult time. Sis(Aunt) Doretha was a great woman of God and woman of faith. You can find comfort in knowing she is in heavenly places, rejoicing with that beautiful smile.
My love and prayers continue for the Raynor family. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to love and care for your sweet mother. What a true testament of faith and strength that she showed to everyone who met her. I am forever grateful for the time I spent with her. She didn't speak much but her eyes and smiles said it all!
