Eugene Chestnut,82, of New Bern was called to rest Thursday, September 10, 2026.
His funeral service is 3:00 PM Monday, September 21, 2026 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel 1700 Oscar Drive, New Bern.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Chestnut, New Bern, NC; four step-sons, Leander Herring Jr., (Stephanie) Greensboro, NC, Roger Herring, Bayboro, NC, Antonio Ross,(Johenetta) Thomasville, NC and Kenneth Ross, (Kimberly), Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Roberta Horton, (Ron) Aberdeen, NC; three sisters, Hattie Gamble, Willie Moore and Florine Chestnut, all of Columbia, SC; fourteen grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
