To the family, Ms. Hippie was a true treasure to be around. I am grateful for the time she spent with our family caring for our mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God continue to bless and keep you.

I am deeply saddened to her my girl is with her mom now. She was my mom's nurse aid before she passed. My mom was going through mild dimensia. But Ms Hippie knew how to calm her down and cheer her up. I used to come into town once a month just to check on them. She was always joyful and courteous to my mom. She read the Bible to her and played old negro spiritual and they would sing together. I think she kept my mother sain. Because for me it was very hard watching my mom going back acting as a child. But they would have a time giving praise to God at home. She blessed my spirit but she had to resign due to health issues,and to take care of her Mom Ms. Lucy. I loved to see them on Sunday looking sharp as can be. We'll I guess they all are walking around heaven as the songwriter wrote. I have been trying to see what was going on with her but unable to reach her on phone. I always looked forward to coming home so we could chat about my mom and of fond memories of her. I truly loved Ms. Hippie and I am sorry that I didn't come home since December when my uncle died. She will be greatly missed by all with her joyous spirit and beautiful smile. Rest easy Queen! There is no doubt in my mind that you aren't resting in peace my dear friend!!! I thank God for the opportunity to share so many good times, conversations and a genuine friendship with you! These last five or six weeks went by so fast and of course I didn't want this to be the outcome 😥! Like Shannon and I told you one night, we love you and we hurt, but we cannot be selfish. We had to let you go!!!♥️ You slipped into eternal rest so peacefully, listening to God Is!!! I said to you on one occasion, talk to God; you know Him & He knows you! Your peaceful let me know just that!!! Sleep in peace my forever friend!!!♥️ I thank your children for allowing me to share in your final moments!!!

Hippie you've been in my life all my life most places I went they thought I was you or your daughter and I would say no I'm not them but it will always remain a memory for me that they thought we favored. When I heard of your passing my fondest memory was her one day pulled over in front of Crows Video and the spirit had hit her she was outside her car just praising the lord I'll never forget it. It saddens my heart to hear of the passing of Hattie Mae. Hattie took care of my Mom before she died. She loved her and always made my mom comfortable even until the end.
