Terry Lee “Jive” Simmons,68, a native of New Bern of Grifton, NC died, Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville.
His service is 11:30 AM, Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel, 1700 Oscar Drive, New Bern. Interment will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Franks Simmons, Grifton; three sons, Terry Simmons Sr. and Joshua Simmons of Augusta, GA, Christian Simmons, Arizona; brother, Agartha Simmons; sisters, Senia Munford and Stacy Simmons, New Bern, Cynthia Simmons, California; three step-children, Tyrone Guion, Ernul, NC, Allan Guion, Clayton,NC, Lupia Guion Simmons, Madison, AL; loving grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
