Smitty and I served together on Okinawa back in the mid-80's. He was a hard charging Marine back then but he was also gentleman. His maturity, his leadership ability and his kind nature made him a standout among his peers. From afar I witnessed and admired him as he grew in his faith and how proud he was of his family. Rest easy my fellow Marine. May God have mercy on your soul Smitty and may He bless and provide strength to your family.

To the family of Mr. Smith I will always have fond memories of him at the Kinston mail processing center. He's was kinda unique in his own special ways, I know he will be missed.
